History of Pozar Medicinal Baths

The history of spas starts from the ancient Greece. The first observer of these sources of healing was the historian Herodotus (484-410BC). He described a number of spas and constituted, doing by little the doctor, the spa to be done in some seasons and for 21 consecutive days.

Hippocrates from Kos (460-375BC), who is considered the founder of medical science and the father of hydrotherapy, worked closely with various natural waters, and he saw them in: the marsh, meaning the water in the swamps and lakes, the rain, formed by rain, and those that flow from rocks, ie the metallic. These, he says, are bubbling hot and contain iron, copper, silver, gold, sulfur and other minerals.

The hot springs are natural or artificial medicines, used for dipping all or part of the body for therapeutic purposes.
