The Palace - Archaeological Site of Pella
The Palace stood on a rocky hill, dominating to the city image. It is an architectural complex, the total area whose reaches 60,000 sq.m. In its center, it lies one rectangle rather public building framed by two peristyles courtyards. Two other edifices were excavated east, in the southern side whose exists an open arcade with Doric colonnade. The one has groundplan analogue to those private residential, and perhaps it was the residence of the basilica family. In the north, it exists a pool with supply system and sewerage water. The entrance was from monumental center portal. Oldest of the buildings was discounted in the second half of 4th century BC.
